USB Cable for Converting Parallel Ports
By Karen onI have two older printers that still work just great, but they have a parallel port. All of the newer computers have USB ports, so this cable is great if you want to convert an older parallel port printer for use with a newer computer.
The cable has a parallel port plug at one end for plugging into your older printer, and the other end is the USB plug for plugging into your newer computers. It works really great, and I have put it to use with the few older printers that I have.I feel that if you have an older model printer that still works and does a good job, it would be a shame to ditch it just because it can't be plugged into the newer model computers. With this cable, you don't have to worry about a still-working older printer going to waste. It's such a simple concept, and it really does enable you to get all of the use you can out of an older printer.
The cable is about 6 feet in length and made very well by Dynex.Once my older printers go out of commission, I guess I won't have any use for it, but for the time being, it really is helping me to get my money's worth out of my older printers.
