Written in simple and understandable style by the author Paul Dowswell.In first few pages,he gave maps and different categories of deserts all over the world to understand the stories and places.He explained about the desert life and difficulties while camping such places.I read all of the stories from the start to end.Some stories ended in tragic incidents but some ended in adventures like,"The real Indiana Jones" .I liked the two stories which are "Lawrence of Arabia" and "The real Indiana Jones".Still Ihaven't seen those films.I am very eager to see those films.In many stories the author gave maps to understand the events took place which is very easy to understand.He also provided details about after wards such incidents happened.This author can also provided the battles happened in world war times which happened in middle east and Africa.This book is worth knowledgable to children and elders to know about the desert life experiences.
