I purchased this item because it is an air cleaner that easily installs into the furnace and does not require any regular cleaning. It does not release ozone into your home and it is 100% safe. There was a noticeable difference in air quality within the first few hours and I do not need to worry about any maintenance until next year, when I have to replace the bulb. It was very inexpensive also compared to many of the other air cleaners at just over $100, and the bulbs are an additional 30 per year. It took 10 minutes to install and doesn't just trap the particles in the air but it kills them with the UV rays and then traps the dead particles in the furnace filter so that the bacteria is not re released into the air.
