Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria By Kurenai on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I was psyched around the hype of this game since it was a prequel to one of my favorite games of all times. While I do appreciate Square-Enix for remaking Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth for the PSP, I do however wish Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria was forgotten about.

The game has beautiful CGI, graphicsm and voice acting, but that's all it has going for it. The story is bland compared to it's predecessor beyond belief. It's as if they tried to stick with anything just as long as a sequel was made.

The battle system is creative, but heavily flawed. It's easy to get stuck or have a character seperate from the party, leaving him/her out of experience due to the battle system glitching.

To make the long story short, I got bored of the game pretty quickly due to the combination of flaws. I regret buying this for the full price when it first came out only to be let down.
