Valspar Interior Paint By Allie63078 By allie63078 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Since we have moved into a house, it seems we are doing one project after the next, but our latest project was painting our kitchen. Now, I have never bought paint before, nor do I know anything about paint. My sister had told me to get Behr as this is what she has used when flipping houses before, but since I was at Lowes instead of Home Depot, Behr was not available. So, I just decided to take a chance on the Valspar paint that they had. I picked my color & finish and they quickly got my paint mixed up for me. I had chosen the 1 gallon ultra premium interior latex eggshell wall & trim paint.
After getting everything taped and covered and all the walls washed, we began our paint job. One thing I noticed was that this paint was very easy to wash off if you messed up or got it on a surface it shouldn't be on (um, no, I didn't do that...really I didn't) :). With a wet washcloth, we easily fixed any mistakes.
Once we finished with the room, we did notice that while the kitchen looked good, it would definitely take a 2nd coat to really have a nice finish that didn't show spots or faded areas. It said that it was one-coat coverage, but it really did need 2...and that was even on a cream colored wall to begin with.
All in all, I think that the paint was great and easy to use and looked really nice when we were finished. The cost was pretty good and we'll probably use this paint in the future.

That sounds like some good paint. I have noticed that the cheaper the paint the easier it scuffs.
This sounds like a very good paint. Thanks for the information.
I've never used this brand (usually have used Behr) but the next time I am painting I might check this one out. Nice that it cleans up so easily (but like you I never make any goof-ups ;) )
I'll have to check this brand out. I'm planning on doing some painting myself. Thanks for the info. ;)
