I have bought, lived in and paid for in full two mobile homes in my life. Vanderbilt Mortgage financed both of them. I must say the customer service at Vanderbilt Mortgage, which is based in Tennessee, is excellent. They worked with me during some very difficult and stressful times including a divorce and a bankruptcy. They never failed to be polite, helpful and understanding. Thier interest rates were about average I think and I would say they were very flexiable and willing to work with you on payment dates and the like. If any of you are considering a mobile home or modular home you will do well to check into Vanderbilt Mortgage for mobile homes. They have certainly done right by me. I highly recommend them.
