I received a package of Vanderbilt Professional Nail Care Emory Boards in a gift basket of bath, body and nail products. Now these emory boards are not like any that I've seen or used before. You know, the tiny, dark pinkish coloured ones sold in most drug stores that have grains so large that the tips of your nails never seem to get that smooth feeling? Well after using Vanderbilt Emory Boards, you'll never buy those ones again!

At first glance you realize that these emory boards are not your 'typical' drug store emory boards. They have bright, vibrant colours and eye-catching patterns covering both sides of the emory boards that make them stand out. Look at the picture, don't you agree?

Also, they are HUGE! Two huge emory boards come in the pack. They measure approximately 2 cm wide and 6 3/4 inches in length. Way bigger than dark pinkish coloured ones sold in most drug stores.

Each Vanderbilt Professional Nail Care Emory Board has two unique grains, one on each side of the emory board. Grains in my pack were 240/400 and 120/180. The higher the grain number the heavier the grain and the lower the grain number, the finer the grain. I like that four different types of grains come in the pack and I can select which one I want to use depending on the condition of my nails. To even out the length of my nails I use the heavier grain 240/400. I flip between the 400 grain side and the 240 grain side. To soften up the tips so they aren't sharp, I flip between the 120/180 Vanderbilt Professional Nail Care Emory Board. The result is nails filed to the length I desire with nice, smooth blunt tips.

Vanderbilt Professional Nail Care Emory Boards are also washable. I rinse each one with a little warm water when I'm done using them and leave them to dry on paper napkins. Another good thing is that they are strong yet flexible and highly durable. I've been regularly using these emory boards for over two years and they are still going strong!

Due to the large size, the fact that they are washable, durable and more than one came in the pack, this is a tremendous value!
