Veet? Don't Bother. By Kurenai on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I tried this product as an alternative to shaving. It had nice packaging and seemed easy to use. The kit comes with a can of gel of the remover and a bladeless razor. This is a nice idea on Veet's part, however this is the only good thing about this product.

The instructions stated that Veet should be left on the skin for 6 minutes maximum, then can be "shaven" off with the bladeless razor without mess. Sounds easy? Yeah right. After applying to gel to my legs, it burned after 1 to 2 minutes. I have used lots of hair removal products that often felt tingly after a few minutes of application, but this stuff really irritated my legs very very badly. I washed it off after about 3 minutes, but it took about 10 more for the horrible feeling to go away. The treated skin also felt itchy and bumpy for about a few hours after that. I wound up throwing the Veet away.

Do NOT bother with this product. It's a waste of $10 and causes more problems than it's worth.
