Veggie Puffs By Janna on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

When my son started eating finger foods I found myself growing increasingly worried that he was going to choke on something. I of course gave him soft foods that were cut up very (very) small. But I still worried.

One day while shopping I came across Gerber's Veggie Puffs (they also make fruit puffs). I purchased the puffs because they are made with real vegetables and are relatively cheap. When I got home I was pleased to see that the container, although light, was full to the brim with these tiny little snacks. What I was unhappy about was the fact that these puffs were not soft at all. I decided to try one to see exactly how solid they were.

I was happy to find that these puffs actually dissolve in your mouth once they hit your tongue. The taste isn't too bad either although the sweet potato brand is much better than the corn version. My son absolutely loved these and would go through them quite quickly.

mmmmm. It sounds like something I'd nibble at with my son (who has started finger foods and is thoroughly enjoying animal crackers).

This sounds great! I'll have to remember this product when my son reaches the finger foods stage!
