Velvet Elvis: Repainting The Christian Faith By Olin Froid on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Velvet Elvis: Repainting the Christian Faith is a book written by rob Bell, a minister at Mars Hill Bible Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This book takes a look at the faith of Christianity, and some of the glaring misses that we make in it currently. The ideas Rob present are fresh and new, and he offers a chance to really explore how we live our lives as Christians and why we do what we do. His views on subjects like studying the Word, following your faith and deciding how to believe are profound and really tough to digest at first, but once you read it a few times, you can get a good idea of what he means. I personally feel this book offered my many opportunities to wrestle with different thoughts and ideas I shared and disagreed with Rob Bell on, and that is the point-look at you faith and understand why you do what you do.
