Venus Breeze...Really As Easy As They Say? By IceQueen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I needed a new razor and I was looking for something that wasn't disposable. Me and disposable razors don't get along. To be honest, I was always terrified of razors and used products like Veet for all my hair removal needs. The application was horrible, the smell unbearable, and the wait time was boring. I went to the store and looked at all the razors. I never realized how many different things where offered. At first I was thinking about the Shick Intuition but I didn't like the shape or size. I opted for the Venus Breeze because there was no need for shaving cream and the easier the better. I got home and opened the package. Right away I noticed that the color of the razor and shave bar gels where much lighter than the picture depicted. That was fine with me, either way it still looked good. When I read the little pamphlet thing included, it seemed pretty straightforward, just wet your skin and the razor and your good to go. As soon as I wet the razor I noticed the nice smell, I believe it was lavender. It wasn't too strong, but light enough to give you a somewhat relaxed feeling. As far as the actual shave goes, it was pretty good. I did not cut myself once, and the shave was pretty close. The only thing I have to say is that because of the larger razor head, its harder to shave under your arms. The shave lasted about a week, with pretty good results. I will continue to use this razor for a while.
