Veramyst By donnabc on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Anyone else out there have nasal allergies? Or itchy eyes? It's time for “hay fever.”
I have been taking Veramyst for about 4 months now. I had been on Nasenex for several years on and off. I have tried Flonase, and several other sinus sprays which I can't recall. Nothing seemed to help! I kept getting sinus and ear infections, one right after the other. It was a drain on my pocket and me personally. My PA asked if I had ever tried Veramyst. She told me that SHE takes it and it is the best medication she has ever tried for HER sinus problems.
Well, 4 months later, I have to say it works wonders! Knock on wood, I have not had a sinus or ear infection since I started (and I even had the flu which is generally time for an automatic infection).
As an added perk, unlike some of those sprays, I don't even get that nasty taste down the back of my throat:0) How great is that? I have noticed that it also helps with itchy eyes. It doesn't stop the itching, but does make it better. So, if you have allergies that cause nasal problems or itchy eyes, don't suffer in silence. Give Veramyst a try!

I've seen this advertised. Not something I need, but glad that it works well for you!
Sound great. I've seen it on TV but don't have allergy problems myself.
I have seen this on TV, good to know your thoughts on it. We all suffer from allergies in one form or another!
Glad to hear of a good experience with this allergy medicine!
I do, I do! Not severe enough to get a perscrption but they seem to get a little worse every year so you never know when I might need this medicine.
I need to tell my daughter about this, she has terrible sinuses. Is this prescription or can she get it over the counter? Thanks
I have used Flonase before and I hated the taste that I got in my throat after using the spray. I know exactly what you are saying. I haven't had to use it again, just that one time. I think this sounds like a great alternative to Flonase. Great information. Glad you found a product that works for you!
Thankfully, no one in my family has seasonal allergies but I'm glad to hear that this product is working for you! Thanks for sharing this information!
Unfortunately, nothing really works for me anymore like it should.
Allergy is my middle name!! That is my problem right now. I just started taking nasal sprays recently. Before, I hated the idea of that stuff going up my nose lol. The one I am on is ok but I may try this next time. I still get sick a lot and occasional sinus infections. Thanks for the information on this one.
