Viactiv Women's Multi Vitamin Flavor Glides By mustangsally82 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have spent my entire adult life chewing up Flintstones vitamins because the big adult vitamin pills were just too hard for me to swallow. Then Viactiv came out with the chews for both the calcium supplement and the multi-vitamin. Those were an improvement, but I didn't like the taste.

One day I saw an internet ad for a new vitamin. I filled out the form for a free sample and waited for it to come. About a month later I received one of these pills.

It looked just as big as most of the other multi-vitamins I'd tried before, but I got it down on the first try. I didn't even feel it in my mouth or going down my throat when I swallowed, which was great. There was also an added bonus: the vitamin is flavored so you don't have a yucky vitamin aftertaste. The flavor is called "Berry Breeze," and the pills themselves are a pretty purple color.

I liked them so much that I went out the next day and bought a bottle with 100 vitamins. We all know how important it is to take vitamins, and this brand makes it so easy to do without worrying that the pill will get stuck in my throat. They even have a teen variety now, which is great because we need different supplements during the different stages of our lives.

The label says it is a complete women's formula with 24 essential vitamins and minerals. Here is the list of what's in these vitamins:

Vitamin A: 2500 IU

Vitamin C: 60 mg

Vitamin D: 400 IU

Vitamin E: 33 IU

Vitamin K: 20 mcg

Thiamin (B1): 1.5 mg

I actually like the Viactiv calcium chews, but I've been taking children's vitamins for years, because the adult ones tend to make me sick, AND because I have trouble swallowing big pills. I may have to try these and see how they go!
