My children just giggle when I put Vicks Baby Rub on their chest and bottoms of their feet. It must really tickle. We are pretty limited as to cold medications for our children since many recalls within the last two years. My children get pretty congested with a cold and have been with colds twice within the last two months. The weather is so unpredictable lately. It is cold at night,even cold enough to run the heat. Then the days are warm. No wonder everyone is sick. My husband always says that his mother would put Vicks on his chest and bottoms of his feet then put socks on his feet. It really does seem to help and they sleep through the night. Vicks not only seems to help but is comforting to them. I also remember using Vicks as a child but not on my feet. Some of those old remedies do the trick. I myself use the same ritual at times when I'm sick, using regular Vicks. Oh yeah and besides my husband is always right.
