I have used Vick's Vapor Rub in two different ways over the years. It is a remedy I remember from my childhood. Its best use is for the common cold, chest and nasal congestion, and sore throat. I have used it on all three, and have found great relief in doing so. Its most effective rubbed thickly on your chest so you can continuously breathe in the soothing vapors. Especially at night, when a cough and congestion always seem to be at their worst. It brought instant relief and a soothing smell, helping clear my cold and congestion away. Another way I have sought relief with Vick's vapor rub is to soothe it on aching muscles. It again provided an instantaneous relief to tired and sore muscles. A two in one product that no medicine cabinet should ever be without!
