Vicks Vapo Rub By Karlawmcdonald By karlawmcdonald on - Updated Sep 26, 2011
Most of us remember that thick, greasy mentholated rub our parents slaved all over our backs and chest as a child when we got colds. My how things have changed..for the better! It now comes in a squeeze tube that is non greasy and it is creamy, it absorbs into your skin so you are not sticking to your clothes. It is a cough suppressant and a topical analgesic. It can be applied to the throat, chest and back. It can also be used to relive minor aches and pains due to the common cold or flu. It helps to relive a stuffed up nose and to loosen the phlegm in your chest. Not recommended for children under the age of 2, talk to your pediatrician first. This product contains eucalyptus, camphor and menthol and it is fast acting. It is not recommended to use more than 3 times in a 24 hour period. This is a product that stays in my medicine cabinet , the kids do not complain about this product like they did the old style Vicks. Look for it in the 2.99 ounce squeeze tube in most store. I love this product and it is a good idea to keep on hand during the colder months when colds are more likely to happen.
