The Viewsat Platinum is a stylish reciever that has all the main features of an FTA reciever. the Picture quality comes in decent in a standard decent quality. You can get one of these for about $100 now so thats pretty good for a reliable reciever. Viewsat is one of the leading manufactures in the FTA buisness so you know you're getting a quality product, that is bound to have updates. It has a sleek stylish silver look but it also comes in black if you get an 'ultra' or 'xtreme'. It doesn't have some of the feature the xtreme or ultra has but it does carry the basics, for example it doesnt have component outputs or a USB port like the ultra. I would recomend getting an ultra (not ultra lite) cuz it will give you the best picture with component cables, and has an easy flash method (usb). In the box you get a rs232 cable to hook to your computer, a set of A/V cables (i use s-video for better picture), the reciever of course, remote (4 device), and manual. overall pretty good product would recomend getting an ultra for about $30 more but its good aswell.
