Viewsonic Vx922: Flat Screen Perfection By Adam Hollett on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

LCD monitors are all-around better than their boxy ancestors. They emit less heat, use less power, give clearer images, and are easier on the eyes. When I learned all this, naturally, I set out to acquire one of my own.

The VX922 from Viewsonic has lived up to every expectation I had and more. It boasts a 19 inch screen, 1280x1024 maximum resolution, and a refresh rate that's so quick there is no blurring or distortion present. I use mine for everything from word processing to gaming, and in every aspect it performs well. The viewing angle is also quite wide and the colors fairly consistent no matter which angle you are viewing it from. When searching for an LCD monitor, things you want to look for are a low refresh rate and wide viewing angle. This monitor has both. As for the monitor itself, the outside is beautiful and stylish, featuring five small rectangular buttons for brightness and screen adjustment, a rectangular base, and a removable back panel that keeps the wires from becoming messy. It is also light and very portable.

This LCD monitor has been put to the test in a wide range of computing activities. It has performed in each and every one, and I have never been disappointed. If you are looking for a new monitor, look no further, even if you plan to do some serious gaming. This monitor can do it all.

I have an old Viewsonic and it's still going strong! Great brand!

Mine recently started acting strange, and needs to be unplugged every night or else it will turn itself off randomly during the day. ViewSonic support was very helpful, though, and I plan to send it away for repairs as soon as I can.

Sounds like a nice monitor. Wish you lots of luck with it.
