Village Naturals Foaming Milk Bath By seasideevns on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

There are three things I look for in a good bath product: a thick texture (which prevents me from using half a bottle each time I bathe), a fabulous scent that isn't too sweet or overpowering, and the ability to moisturize my skin while I soak (nothing ruins a relaxing bath like having dry and itching skin afterwards).

The texture of this foaming milk bath is about perfect. It's nice and thick, but it dissolves well. It doesn't cause a messy clean up or leave any residue in the tub that might cause a slip later. I only have to use a small amount to fill a garden tub full of bubbles. With other products my bubbles would dissolve as soon as I rinsed shampoo from my hair. These bubbles last until I am ready to get out of the tub. Amazingly, the bubbles then dissolve quickly with a few rinses of the tub.

The scent I have is called White Tea. It is the most beautiful smell. I enjoy scents like honeysuckle, Magnolia, Lily, Jasmine, and Lavender. This was a pretty unique smell, very full while leaning to a more flowery fragrance rather than a perfumed one. The scent always fills the bathroom and surrounding rooms, which I enjoy. The scent also remains with you for quite a while after you bathe.

Another great quality of this product is it's ability to moisturize the skin so well during a soak. I am fair skinned and I usually have to hydrate my skin immediately after a bath to prevent dry skin. I can actually take a bath in the evening time with this bubble bath and not feel the need to apply lotion until the next morning.

I'm very happy with this product. It works so well that I don't feel the need to add bath salts or oils (like I've often felt the need to do with other products). The container holds 28 FL OZ and after about 10-12 baths I feel there is enough to use for another 3-4 weeks. The container for the White Tea has a simple and clean label with delicate white flowers. It would look nice in most bathrooms just sitting on the side of the tub.

Here is a list of the ingredients I found attractive:

Milk Protein, Nonfat Dry Milk, Lemon Oil, Orange Oil, Bergamot Oil, Jasmine extract, Aloe extract, Ginseng Root extract, Peach extract, and Shea Butter extract.
