Vintage Walt Disney Snow White - Enchanting!

I found this vintage "made in Japan"Walt Disney Snow White figurine at a garage sale a few years ago.As aDisney fan and collector of sorts, I thought this was too cute to passup at the rock bottom price of $1.00.

Snow White stands 5-1/2" tall and is licensed by Walt Disney Productions.She is beautifullypainted and is in mint condition, with not a nick on her.The coloring isexceptional, from the yellow of her skirt to the two tone blue of her top, and the stand up white collar in the back.Each shade is asbright as if it was painted just yesterday.There is awistful look on her lovely face, and her hands are clasped in front of herlike she is making a wish.

In researching the age of this figurine, I found it to be from thelate 50's or early 60's.Either way, this Snow White figurine is 50years old and one of my best garage sale finds.It is stamped on thebottom with the words "c-Walt Disney Productions Japan".

Now, there is only one discrepancy with this figurine, and that is her pearl white hair.Snow White normally is shown with jet black hair.I can find this black haired version on ebay, with the same markings selling for $5.99, all the way up to $40.00.Perhaps I have a rare piece where the hair color was left off, or mine is just one of two versions that were made.

Hopefully, one day I will find the dwarfs to go with my Snow White treasure, which I think would make an awesome display.Until then, I never know what the next garage sale might have waiting for me!
