Virbac Dermazole Medicated Shampoo For Dogs Cats By yorb24 on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

This Virbac Dermazole Medicated Shampoo For Dogs and Cats was highly recommended to me by my vet. My older dog has suffered from terrible skin problems over the years so she needs medicated shampoo in order to control her infections. This 8 oz. bottle runs close to $15.00. It says on the bottle itself that this is an antiseptic shampoo that can be used on dogs as well as on cats with conditions that are responsive to miconazole.

Our vet told us to use it 3 times a week and each time to leave the shampoo on for 10 minutes and then rinse. Then after a month to use it just once a week for maintenance. I did exactly as directed by our vet and the shampoo worked really well as far as clearing up her skin. My dog usually has a bad smell due to her skin infection and as soon as I began using this, the smell diminished. I noticed a difference immediately. I have to say though that an 8 oz. bottle (in the beginning stages when you have to use it 12 times the first month) went rather quickly. This shampoo is not cheap either. You can buy it in bulk, but be prepared to spend over 100.00. You can save some if you buy in bulk. I do recommend Virbac Dermazole Medicated Shampoo and hopefully after Christmas, I can afford to purchase it in bulk.
