Virgin America, Try It, Fly It, Love It! By Eyes2theocean on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Okay, so the seat room isn't any greater than that of Southwest. But when you're comparing the two similarly priced airlines, Virgin wins hands down.

I'm sick of paying to fight for a seat. Sick of sitting on the floor waiting in a line so I can get on the plane and get a decently located seat, of almost every flight being overbooked, and often leaving late. Virgin lets you choose your seat upon booking. The plane has this awesome mood lighting, that's pink or purple as you enter, which makes you relax in a way that the angry neon or yellow light on other similar flights never ever did. The stewardesses are pleasant and trendy, and (yeah, I said stewardesses, not flight attendants, I appologize) while the soft drinks are free and brought automatically, if you want any kind of snacks you get to order them from your menu on your own personal tv screen in front of you! This tv also features local programming, video games, a flight map, and other fun things to check out.

If you're more interested in working, you have an outlet for your laptop below your seat.

I can't wait to fly Virgin again, it was a wonderful experience.
