Virgin Mobile Slice Prepaid Phone

Reviewing: Virgin Mobile Slice
Purchased at: Best Buy     Price: $49.99 USD

I'm not the type that needs a cell phone everyday. But I wanted to get a phone that allows me to pay the minimum amount of money in case of those emergencies.

I went to Best Buy and purchased a Virgin Mobile Slice. The first thing you will notice about the slice, is that it is TINY. It is roughly a 1/2 inch thick. Think of it as a fat credit card! There are many options that you get with most phones, text messaging, gaming, voice mail...etc. You can add a plan with competes with the big time players or you can just pay a minimum price like I do. Roughly $15 every three months to keep the phone active. So basically I use only the minutes I need instead of paying a huge cost regardless of how much I talk on it.

There are a few problems with this phone as well. I wish the battery life would last long than a few days. The keypad is tiny, so if you have fat or bit fingers then I would probably stay away from this. And its not very durable. I dropped one of these on the floor and it would no longer work.

So if you need a good phone that you can stick in your purse or pocket, I would recommend that you try the Virgin Mobile Slice. It will cost roughly $50 (but keep your eye out...you may find them on sale for about $20-30!!)

While the sound of this phone sounds perfect to me, you're right-if you have a tiny keypad, that would get annoying after a bit (unless you have the world's tiniest fingers!!!!!)

I'm thinking of getting this to avoid the hassle and annoying random charges I keep getting that the cell providers always "mistakenly" add.
