Viruses Be Gone By Banger on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Being a true Gamer and performance junky I thoroughly detest anything that get's loaded into my memory first that isn't an absolute necessity. Well in this review I'll be telling fellow ant-virus haters that it isn't all doom and gloom. Norton 360 is an anti-virus program designed to basically keep your virus free and void from terrible hackers that want to invade your privacy with the many vast array of weapons at their disposal such as Viruses, Spyware, and Trojans etc Nortan come with all the standard features you would expect from Anti-virus software like scans, back-ups etc but one thing I must say I really don't like being a gamer is the constant performance hit you constantly experience while having an Anti-Virus system installed even if it's just idle. For the record I've had computers from the time I was about 10 and not once not ever have a had a single virus well maybe I was just blessed by the gaming gods but if you're a non-gamer and need to make sure all your important files and documents are safe. Then I really do recommend you try Norton 360 it will give you that piece of mind

norton is no doubt a good anti virus programme but ther are several others I found better than this like panda, though expensive but a lot more is very effective than other anti virus progrm..

sorry to burst peoples bubbles, but i honestly recon norton 360 is a piece of crap. I had it for over 4 months then just got rid of it. i knew that i had virus's on my computer but N360 didnt even pick them up. i had cracks for programs which i knew had some form of malicous code but N360 did even give me a prompt screen to block it, move to quarintine or delete it. I tested the crack files out on other machines, my sisters whos was running NOD32, picked it up as soon as i opened the folder in which the crack was located, and Avira which was running on my file server noticed it straight away. I ran a scan on the file afterwards through N360 which after that, recognised that it was a virus. Pointless paying $129 for an antivirus that is inferior to something that was FREE! for 6 months after that i was running NOD32 which to me gave my computer a better performance than N360 (cuz N360 is a memory hog) and actually picked up the un detected virus's on its first full system scan, after that i decided that i cbf paying for more antivirus's and moved to avira on every computer on the network. hopefully people dont do a mistake buying N360, 1. doesnt pick up virus's effectivly, 2. memory hog, 3. there are other AV progs out there for free that do a better job!

I just don't like norton because it seems to lock off features of your computer which is frustrating.

I wouldnt touch Norton if they paid me..a useless piece of resource hogging you know what! and agree 100% with bubbacat. I would never pay for an antivirus program the free ones are much better. I been fixing peoples pc's of viruses and spyware for a long time..I always remove Norton from there system..paid or not and put on one of the free ones.
