Visine A.C. By Kakoa on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
When I was pregnant during allergy season, I could not take the normal medicine I usually do to help my symptoms. One of the biggest symptoms I have is dry, itchy, and watery eyes. I had never used eye drops before, but that was just about the only safe thing I could try while I was pregnant.
I bought the Visine A.C. because it said it was made specially for seasonal allergy irritations. As soon as I put the drops in for the first time I could feel some relief! The only problem was that the relief didn't last very long. I wanted to put more drops in about 20 minutes after the first application! The directions say not to use the drops more than 4 times per day, so I just waited and put up with the symptoms.
After using the drops for about 3 days straight, the relief started lasting longer. It was always uncomfortable putting the drops in because I wasn't used to it, but the as soon as the drops were in and working it was great! I always had to have a tissue around to wipe up the extra liquid that didn't get into my eye though.
Overall, I would say these drops do work for allergy eye relief. I plan to keep using them along with my other OTC allergy medications even when I'm not pregnant.
