My Dentist recommend this electric toothbrush and I have been very happy with it so far. It is electric so obviously it needs to plugged in and uses one of your outlets but doesn't take up too much room. You keep it on the base and when it is not in use it is charging. I have had the toothbrush for over a year now and have not had to replace the batteries. It has a neat feature in that it tells you when two minutes have passed and that is enough brushing. I have replaced the heads on it once so far and it did start to hurt my gums the older the head got. Once the head was replaced it no longer hurt so I knew it was the head that needed to be replaced. I buy the off brand of Meijer replacement brushes for because they fit just the same and are a lot cheaper. My Dentist tells me that the toothbrush is doing a good job on my teeth and gums. Great product.
