Vitamin C By IcePrincess on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

We all know the importance of vitamin C in our body. It resist any common disease cause by virus that might weaken or immune system. We can get this vitamin from fresh citrus, and other fruits, but sometimes we do not get enough especially in processed foods.

Lately, the doctor advised me to take more vitamins, and he prescribed Cecon. I'm prone to colds, sometimes caused by allergy, so I resume taking ascorbic acid. Few years ago, I'm only taking 100mg a day. This time, the doctor prescribed 500mg chewable capsule, which is considerable high dosage, but it didn't cause acidity to my stomach. Others might feel acidic when ingest high dosage like this, so it is better to check first with your doctor.

Since it is chewable, it tastes very sour on the mouth. There are times that I swallowed the capsule followed by water so as to avoid the sour taste.

The cost of Cecon is a little higher than other brands.
