Viva Remains Strong When Wet By abullina on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have been trying to find ways to be more frugal and natural in my life. One way, I thought, was make my daughter's baby wipes. I decided make my own wipes solution and use a sturdy paper towel for the wipe. I tried a store brand and Bounty, but found they came apart easily. Then, I remembered using Viva in the past and how much it felt like cloth. So I bought a roll of Viva and was quite pleased how strong it remained when wet. The cost is also very nice. At a dollar per roll, I can make 200 wipes, because I tear the sheets in half. The cheapest brand of wipes cost $1.50 for 80 wipes. So, I think I am getting a pretty good deal with these. Overall, Viva is a very nice, strong, and soft paper towel: very useful for soggy messes and baby's bottoms.
