Vivitar Children's Binoculars
By Dadof2Disneyboys onA few years ago at Christmas my mother-in-law got the kids each a set if Vivitar Children's Binoculars. I was thinking to myself that they were cute, but the kids already had at least 4 other children's binoculars laying around the house that they rarely used. But to my surprise these were actually very nice binoculars!
They came in a nice black carrying case. The binoculars themselves are gray and black and have a black string to wear them around your neck. They look just like regular (adult) binoculars, but smaller. They are very nicely designed. They aren't junk like they other cheap kids binoculars you can get. They have a pretty decent range and are easy to focus. We have used them a lot. We've used them to see deer across the yard. We've used them for things like shows, such as Disney On Ice. They helped the kids to see the show better when we didn't have very good seats.
Overall this is a very cute, lightweight, and useable set of kid's binoculars.
I think it is great that Vivitar offers a Child's pair of binoculars that are actually functional! To me the cuteness of having a cartoon character on the side of a child's version of an adult item is lost when the item does not function well, if at all... then the toy just ends up lost, forgotten or part of some "project" in the back yard.
Bosoxy I agree with you. I wish other company's would follow Vivitars lead in this. Great idea for children!
My son has been asking for a pair of binoculars, I might have to go check these out.
Great to know they are quality binocs! I hope they get to use them often. Vivitar is an awesome company, one you can always count on.
It's so much easier for them if they get used to understanding what binoculars can actually do for them, instead of just being frustrated.

These sounds like a good pair of sturdy binoculars for kids. I hate when they make horrible and cheap products just because they are for kids. I'm glad you found something that they'll like and use.
