Vivitar Refractor Telescope By karlawmcdonald on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

This is another Christmas item that we tried out and enjoyed tonight. This telescope comes with a tripod, interchangeable 50x and 100x eyepiece lenses. It also has 3x finder scope to locate objects faster, it is built from a lightweight aluminum so it is easy to move around so you can find that perfect spot for stargazing. No tools are required to assemble, it has screws on a dial so it can all be put together with your bare hands. This telescope is not super powered and it is not very expensive so it is perfect for the youngster who is just starting out. It is perfect for astronomical viewing and star tracking. I do urge you to remind your young star gazers NOT to look directly into the sun as it can cause damage to your eyes. This telescope is very easy and in my opinion it is the perfect starter telescope.
