Vizio 50 Plasma HDTV

I bought the Vizio 50" Plasma HDTV in December of 2006 as a Christmas gift for my husband.He had mentioned wanting a big screen plasma TV so I began researching the various options.For me a $6000 TV was not a serious option but I soon found excellent reviews on various websites for Vizio so I began looking at them.
I have been very impressed with this TV over the last year and we are looking at buying the next larger size when the price comes down a little more.The resolution is 720p and the picture is excellent!I am able to see details in darker shots that I never saw in our older tv and the new Disney movies and other High definition formatted movies look spectacular!The only hitch I've noticed is that with older movies or tv shows that have fog or mist in them; the fog/mist can look a little grainy.
Overall this is an amazing TV and I highly recommend it.
What a Christmas gift! Can you get me one this year. ;-)
Is it true that the plasma has to be replaced in these type of TV's every few years?
Sounds like a great tv. Too expensive for my budget though :0)
Not a brand I have heard of, so it's always good to have more info.

50" Plasma HDTV for only about $1250 !!! what a great buy there....Oh I am jealous..very jealous...lol
