Vizio Vx37 L Or The Best Tv You've Never Heard Of By thrsty on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Vizio kind of came out of nowhere and took the lead in LCD sales last year. But for a good reason, their displays are inexpensive, yet comparable to displays from Sony and Samsung. The VX37L is no exception. It is one of the best displays for the money that you can get.

The VX37L is a thirty-seven inch 720p display. Overall the picture quality is quite good, rich colors and decent contrast as far as LCDs go. One of the best parts of this set is the amount of ports. You wouldn't expect much on a lowend display, but this one packs 2 HDMI (one with extra audio input), 2 Component, 1 VGA with audio input, 1 Composite, 1 Composite/S-Video, and a standard DTV/TV RF jack with internal HD tuner. It also has analog audio out and SPDIF optical out.

The speakers are the sad part. They are somewhat underpowered when using some devices. They do fine for a small living room, but if you need to overcome some noise or use it in a big room, a speaker system would help.

Overall the VX37L is everything I wanted it to be, and I would recommend to generally anyone. It has great picture and lots of ports; this, paired with one of the best warantees available including a zero dead pixel policy make the VX37L a great buy.
