My son recently received the VTech Sort & Spin Blender for his first birthday. It is a big hit in our house and both him and his 3-year-old brother enjoy playing with this toy.

This toy actually simulates and actual blender and you can push a button and "blend" (spin) the shapes. There are three different songs that play when the toy is on. There is a sound effects button, a blending knob, and an on/off switch/mode selector. There is also a volume control on the underside of the blender: low or high. There are three modes of play to choose from: learning mode, play mode or music mode. The blender also has an automatic shut off and turns off after 30-seconds of inactivity. There are 10 different melodies that play and 3 songs that are sung. The blender requires 2 "AA" batteries, which are included.

The VTech Sort & Spin Blender is a shape sorter with 5 different shapes, each shape has a fruit on it, and each shape is a different color. The red heart has a strawberry on it, blue square has blueberries, orange circle has an orange, yellow star has a banana and the green triangle has grapes.

This blender toy has so many fun things to do and learn depending on which mode you have selected. It teaches shapes, colors, fruits, phrases and songs. You can put the shapes into the blender by using the shape sorter and inserting them into the proper shape or you can remove the lid and drop them into the blender. When you insert a shape into the matching slot you learn about shapes and colors in the learning mode, colors and fruit in the play mode and hear songs in the music mode.

The VTech Sort & Spin Blender provides lots of fun and learning for both my 1 and 3-year-old. This toy gets the approval from all of us.
