VTech Tote Go Laptop Plus Pink
By Syari onI bought this laptop through ebay in August this year for my soon to be 3 year old daughter. (Turning 3 this December) Got it at a much expensive price than you can get anywhere else since where I am staying currently, they don't sell this.
My daughter loves the laptop because it somehow has the features of a real laptop. A keypad, a detachable mouse that really clicks and can move on a small mouse pad that also attached to the mouse. She loves the monkey that keeps encouraging her while she learns and plays.
I love thelaptop because I find it quite educational. Within a month she knows many of her alphabets. So much so, when I showed her a letter anywhere else, (e.g; on tv, in a book, etc) she would be able to tell me what letter it was. She also learnt how to count from 1-10 and recognizes the numbers.
There are 30 activities with different levels of difficulties. 10 alphabet activities,10 maths activities and 10 miscellanous activities which includes music, shapes and mouse control training. I believe she may still be able to play with it until she is 5/6.
It is also durable so far. She dropped it a few times and still looks okay and working fine. Most probably it is supposed to be that way since it is a toy for young children.
What I don't like about itis the volume. I know some people don't like this too. It has a volume control but it doesn't really go very low. Even the lowest seems to be a bit too loud. Most probably because of the monkey screeching now and then. :) Gets to your nerves after sometime.
Then the screen is rather small. Would be nice if it's bigger. But hey, no toy laptop has big screens so there must be a reason for it. Though it would be nice if it is bigger. But my daughter doesn't seem to mind, so it's okay.
Overall, it's a cool, cute, educational toy. :)
