Walt Disney's The Little Mermaid Platinum Edition

The Little Mermaid was one of my favorite Disney movies growing up.I still remember going to see it in the theater when I was all of 5 years old.Disney recently re-released it in their "Platinum Edition" line, which means that they digitally restored the entire movie, enhanced the sound with 5.1 Disney Enhanced Home Theater Surround Sound, and included an entire disc with extra features.These include one of the coolest things that I have ever seen on a DVD, a simulated ride-through of a Little Mermaid ride that was almost (but, sadly not) built for a Disney Theme Park.In addition to the ride simulation, there are deleted scenes, animated shorts, a sneak peek of The Little Mermaid III and a music video for Kiss The Girl performed by Ashley Tisdale.The Little Mermaid ushered in the second Golden Age for Disney animation.Without it there would be no Beauty and the Beast, no Lion King.This is a classic that shouldn't be missed!
