Wario Ware: Smooth Moves Zany, Frantic Minigames By relicto on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Wario Ware: Smooth Moves is a really cool game, though the single player is very short and can actually be completed in less than a day. It is about doing particular tasks with the wiimote to beat very quick games in succession. In the traditional arcade way, you keep going until you lose. The minigames are varied and interesting and make good use of the wii remote's capabilities, which not many Wii games so far have been able to do. I think the multiplayer mode is pretty fun with lots of people, but it is a little strange and not for everyone, because some people will simply refuse to do what the game asks of them (e.g. assume weird positions, flap arms around). The tasks are as playful as the art, which sometimes gets cartoonish and silly (one game is about yanking out nosehairs). That said, it also has a dartboard minigame that I've been playing a lot, even with more mature adults. Very recommendable for the even the most casual players, and as fun as Wii Sports.
