Warm, Fragrant Pain Relief By Jan Mayrhofer on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Have you ever seen those kiosks at your mall where they try to get you to try their "warmie bag"? (My kids have always called them "warmie bags") Normally, I find the employees of these kinds of places pushy so tend to ignore them. One day, however, while I was at the mall, I had an ache in my back between my shoulders, so allowed myself to be talked into trying the product. Surprise! I was totally impressed.
What it is, is an herb-filled, specially shaped, shoulder wrap that you put in the microwave to heat. The filling in the bag not only smells wonderfully soothing and relaxing, but also holds the heat for quite a while to offer comfortable and soothing relief for sore muscles.
I used to make beanbag-like "warmie bags" for my kids. They would be filled with lentils or rice and offer moist heat once they've been heated in the microwave for a few minutes. They did smell a little weird, though. Mine were very simple, rectangular and somewhat small compared to the Nature Creation Shoulder Wrap which is uniquely shaped to sit on your shoulders without needing to be strapped or velcroed on. And it smells WONDERFUL!!! Sometimes I take it to bed, just for the relaxing fragrance. It really helps me get to sleep.
If your mall doesn't have a Nature Creation Kiosk, you can find their products here.
Nature Creation Shoulder Wrap Purchased at: Kiosk at South Center Mall Price: around $40.00

I need this product! I tend to have neck soreness and this would be heavenly to fall asleep with. I like to use a heating pad, but you certainly can't fall asleep with it on....can you say FIRE! This is so much safer and a bonus feature...it smells great ! I will go and check the mall and see if it is available in my area. Thanks :)
Looks really pricey, but you were obviously convinced that it was lots better than the ordinary bag. Thanks!
This sounds like a great bet. I made my own out of rice and some scraps of fabric, but this one sound like it might be worth a few bucks! Thanks for sharing your thoughts~!
After commenting I am clicking on the above link!! I have never heard of this but am willing to give it a shot! Thanks ;)
I've never seen these out here! Thank you for supplying a link to their site. These sound absolutely heavenly for sore tired muscles.
This product sounds like it would be great for moderate aches and pains. I think I would really like the smell of herbs. Thanks for the information on this.
