Watchmen was originally a 12 issue limited series published by DC comics. The comics were written by Alan Moore. After the 12 issues were put into the trade paperback format Watchmen got even more popular. It is the only graphic novel to win a Hugo award and Time rated it in its 100 best novels list. If you don't see where I am going with this I will just tell you; Watchmen is really, really good. The book looks at what would have happened in a world where the US and Soviet Union got crazily close to nuclear war. It also changes the super hero stereotype by not giving any of the heroes any powers. The heroes act like normal people. Writing for Watchmen is extremely good, and it has some great art to back it up. I 100% recommend Watchmen to everyone.
