Wayside School Gets A Little Stranger Kid's Book

The books about the Wayside School, written by Louis Sachar, are hysterical.This particular book is Wayside School Get A Little Stranger. For added fun for kids, the word "Stranger" on the book cover, glows in the dark.

When I read the first book about Wayside School, I thought it was one of the funniest books I ever read.Where did the author come up with this stuff, I wondered.

These books are too funny. They are probably meant for kids age 8 and up but adults enjoy reading these books to their kids too.

Wayside School had a few strikes against it from day 1.You see, it is 31 stories high with only one classroom per floor. Even though the builder apologized for his mistake, it didn't make it any easier for the children who had to race up the stairs to class, down for recess, back up again, and so on. I always thought it was funny that once up there, their teacher, Mrs Jewels, might casually ask one of the kids to go all the way back down to the office to get a pencil that she left down there.

One funny thing after the next happens to the children in Mrs Jewels class. In this particular book, Mrs Jewels comes back to the newly reopened Wayside school and announces she is having a baby. I highly recommend Wayside School Gets A Little Stranger and all of the Wayside School Books.
