Wd Scorpio Black By d0n601 on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
Western Digital has alwasy made great hard drives. I own 2 externals and I have just recently purchased the 320GB, 7200prm Scorpio Black for my Macbook.
This serial ATA hard drive spins at that of desktop speeds, while still being of large enough capacity to max out that of my MacBook. This harddrive greatly improves the speed of many jobs, where i most notice it is during the boot up sequence.
The fact that such speed can be achived without sacraficing space was the real reason for my upgrade, as many other brands produce 7200prm notebook drives that only have a capacity of around 200GB. The 320GB allows me to have enough space to tripple book my compute (osx, linux, windows xp), and do it quickly.
