We tried Airtran last year for the first time. The price was right at $59 from Chicago to Orlando each way. The only down side was having to drive to Chicago for an hour.

The checkin clerk was very nice, the line wasnt nearly as long as other airlines so that is huge plus for us! The staff on the flight was a nice as nice could be. We were greeted very warmly when entered, there was ample leg room and overhead space for our carryons. We were offered a drink inflight as well as some pretzels. The satellite radio was also a nice touch with complementry headphone.

At the time the only down side was having to checkin online 24hrs in advance for seating assigments, this could be a problem on the way back if you dont have access to the internet. But that now has been solved by paying $5 to chose your seats ahead of time.

We loved our Airtran experiences and the value of the flight.
