Weird New York By MellaView on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Weird New York, by Chris Gethard, Mark Moran & Marc Sceurman, caught my attention immediatly. I for one am from New York, and the strange and quirky cover enticed me. Weird New York is basically an odd travel guide to all things weird in New York. I figured this book could in no way shape or form have information about my state that I altready didnt know. I knew about the Lady of Lake Ronkonkoma, I have heard about Tiny Town (although I have ever set eyes on it), and I have also heard about a few of the haunted cemetery's.

Weird New York though surprised me page after page, giving me a detailed summary of local legends, haunted woods, demonic homes, mysterious dissaperances, satanic cults... all of this taking place within a car drive distance from my very own home on LI.

Basically if you are from New York, or plan on visiting, you should surely check out Weird New York, it is filled with locations, real personal experince's from readers, and it includes colorful photos.

The book is creepy, but in that good goosebump kind of way.

I highly, highly recommend you check this one out.
