Welcome Home Hummingbird feeder
By uaezarb onI bought this beautiful hummingbird feeder still in the box, brand new at a garage sale for only $3!The price on the box was $19.99.After I got it home, I figured out why they were selling it. The first problem I found was, that the rubber stopper would not stay in the hole of the glass ball.I had to take a serrated knife and roughen up the slick rubber to get it to stay in place. After I accomplished that, I filled the ball with water to test it and found that I could not get the water to come down through the tube.I did manage to get the water to come down eventually by tipping it backwards and forwards to push the water down to the end, but then when I held it upright the water kept dripping steadily out the end.So, unfortunately, this is totally useless as a feeder.
The parts that make up the design are plastic, but look like real stained glass. The trim around the pieces is a copper colored metal. As you can see in the pictures, the design includes a flower with the center containing the clear glass ball that holds the hummingbird food with a stopper and tube where they feed, if it had worked right! At the top of the flower is a colorful little bee.
I was really disappointed that I would not be able to use this as a hummingbird feeder, but I still hung it in my garden as a piece of art.

Take it back. It is sad, but these are junk. I have seen better home made feeders than this one. Had this experience, and took it back. :)
I forgot to mention I found it at Rite-Aid
It sure is pretty-it's too bad that it couldn't be used as the hummingbird feeder.
That is so pretty, thanks for the pictures.
This hummingbird feeder is absolutely beautiful! I cannot believe that you scored this for so cheap! Kudos to you.
Sorry it did not work. I just purchased a hummimgbird feeder but have yet to see any hummingbirds come around.
It's too bad it didn't work. Hummingbirds are great to watch in the garden!
It is really pretty. I hate it doesn't work. Glad you only paid $3.00 but those poor people who paid $19.99 should have taken it back when they realized it didn't work. I guess it works for yard art.
Gotta love garage sale deals! This is beautiful... too bad it didn't work for it's intended purpose but for 3.00 it makes great yard art!
It looks lovely, I'd probably keep it as a garden decoration as well.
