If you wear make-up, you probably use make-up brushes (and if you don't, you should!). If you use make-up brushes, you should be cleaning them regularly, something we all too often forget to do.

The Well-Cared For Brush "Conditioning Shampoo" is made with all the quality that you expect if you've used any Bare Escentuals products.It comes in a 4 ounce plastic bottle and is easy to use.Just moisten the bristles of a brush, apply a small amount (for example, a dime-sized blob for a large brush) at the base of the bristles, and work it through to the tip.Rub it under warm running water in your sink, and it will lather up nicely with a clean scent.Rinse until the product is gone, squeeze the excess water from your brush, and let it dry flat.You can also use a small amount in a cup of warm water, and soak your brushes in that.Again, rinse out the "shampoo" completely, squeeze out excess water, reshape the brush if necessary, then dry the brushes flat.
The bottle lasts a long time, and with regular use of this, or a similar cleaner, your brushes will last longer, and your face will thank you for it.I'm giving this a 4.5, because it does contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate, and it is possible to make your own brush cleaner for a lower cost. But Well-Cared For is a great product, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a brush cleaner.
I've tried the spray cleaner by BE in the past and it smelled horrible. I think it was mostly alcohol, so I haven't tried anything else from them as far as brush cleaners. I might have to give this one a chance.
What a great product Laurel! I'm going to buy this. I appreciate your sharing information on this brush shampoo and why it is needed. You are so right, staph infections are no laughing matter.
I never knew they made a conditioning shampoo just for cosmetic brushes! I usually buy the lower priced brushes and then toss them after one sink wash because they always get icky. I'm more likely to buy nicer brushes now that I know there is a product to help clean & protect them. Thanks for the info!
I've used BE for over five years & didn't know they had a brush shampoo!!!
Guess I should be using this more often with my brushes from Sephora. I think it's a great product.
I don't wear much makeup these days but have never heard of cleaning my brushes (even in HS when I wore makeup every day). Makes since though.

My cleanser has been too harsh on my brushed, I think they need a little tlc with this!
This sounds like a great product. I have always cleaned my brushes with baby shampoo, but have read that it can be damaging to the brushes. Thanks for the info!
