Western Digital 500 Gb External Hdd By agaetis on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This external hard drive is great for anybody who wants to store their music, photos, or videos on their computer. I'll start off with the design, which is great. The HDD is designed to resemble a book, which worked out nicely. There's also a glowing circle on the front that indicates when it's on and transferring data. The storage capactity is great for the price, but if you have a major movie and music collection you'll probably need to get another one or a larger one (DVDs are 4-5GB, which adds up quick). It's fairly portable as well. All you need is the device itself and two cords, one of them connecting it to the computer and another one for the power supply. The only thing I dislike about the HDD is the speed. It's fine for most things, such as playin music, but when I try to edit videos stored on the HDD there's enough lag to make it almost unusable. This can be fixed by simply temporarily moving the files onto your computer's internal HDD though. Overall, this is a great product suitable for anybody that collects music or movies.
