Wet or Dry, Great Brush for Short Haired Dogs
By Bosoxy onI have a short haired white dog, so when he sheds the hair really shows up. The problem is that anti-shedding tools are mostly designed for longer haired dogs, many with long metal or spiky bristles or tongs.
After trying several different types of brushes, including a cat brush, I decided to give JW Pet Companys Rubber Brush with GripSoft Handle for Pets. This is an ergonomically designed brush with a not slip grip handle that feels very comfortable in my hand. The brush has short rubber bristles and can be used in the bath to shampoo both cats and dogs, as well as be used for grooming on either wet or dry fur.
I have found that with my dogs short hair that the brush works best on damp fur as the dampness of the fur helps the hair to cling to the brush. When dry brushing the bristles are too far apart to hold the fur, resulting in the loose fur flying all over. Because of this I find that dry brushing is best done outdoors.
I have been very happy with this brush. More importantly, my dog really loves the feel of the brush on his skin, so much so that he comes right over whenever I pull out the brush, without me having to call him.

This sounds great! I have a large dog with long hair (shedding rake works...) and a small dog with shorter hair who fears both baths and brushing (she's a rescue, so who knows what her life was like before?) -- this sounds like it might work well in the bath, and be easy on my aching hands too. Nice detail here.
Hadn't seen this one. Have a short-haired dog that sheds like crazy.
