What A Horrible Garden Hose By Alexsandralyn on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
With all of the grass seed that I was planting in my yard this year, I needed to buy a second 50' garden hose to reach the furthest corners of my yard. I don't know what I was thinking when I bought the Swann 5/8" x 50' Garden Hose, but boy, if I was thinking cheap, cheap quality is certainly what I got. When I tried to use this garden hose, it would not uncoil. The Swann Garden Hose didn't have a rubber washer in the fitting, so when I connected it to my other garden hose, it sprayed water everywhere at the connection and got me soaked. The Swann Garden Hose was kinked in several places, and the resulting water pressure out the other end was terrible.
I stretched the Swann Garden Hose out and I let it soak in the hot sun for a few days, figuring that would soften up the plastic enough that I could straighten the garden hose out and remove the kinks, but I got nowhere with that idea. I just wasted my $10 on that purchase because it's a completely worthless garden hose. The next time I buy a garden hose, I'll be paying a lot more attention to the quality rather than the price.
