What Are You Paying For By ange on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

When I got a lap top for school, we were given a list of about 4 choices from what was required at the school. Being in graphics, they were all Apples. I went with the 15 inch G4, which was top line at the time.

Immediately, I had problems with the screen and my computer overheating. Wehn you use your computer eight hours a day, one day of it being serviced is enough to kill time, but a week was more severe damage since they couldn't figure out what was causeing the problem.

Next the power cord went out which was an 80 dollar replacement...just for a powercord. Then my battery began losing complete power within 10 minutes of being unplugged. That situation pretty much defeated the purposeof having a lap top. There was a recall on the battery, so the\at problem was solved.

I really do like the functioning and the graphic performance of the mac a lot better than the PC, and maybe it's the deal with most computers, but I say for the price tag, there were way too many immediate problems and set backs.
