What I think of Final Fantasy XIII

When I first heard about Final Fantasy XIII on the xbox 360, it sounded like a big disappointment. This did not stop me from buying the game. It was surprising to find out that the game is actually pretty good, but it also lacks a bit in some occasions. For example, when other reviewers say that the game is too linear, trust them. It has way too limited aspects in the environment, but this does not mean that the game is bad at all. Final Fantasy XIII is mostly based on the 50 hour story line, so the average player would focus more on the incredible story line instead of the environment. In my final thoughts, Final Fantasy XIII has one of the best story lines in the series so far and it is definitely worth $60 due to the 50 hour story line. If your hesitant about this one, Its a good time waster that gets your creative mind energized. Also, If you don't have a ps3, the xbox 360 version is a bit toned down in the graphics department and has 3 discs (which, in my opinion, makes the game better because it reminds me of the good old ps1 days) but its basically the same game. Nothing is truly changed or altered; Final Fantasy is Final Fantasy no matter where you put it.

I was considering buying Final Fantasy XIII for Xbox 360, probably later this year when the price comes down. I have Final Fantasy X for PS2, and I thought the storyline and graphics were great, but the repetitive turn-based combat was driving me a little nutty after 30 hours of play, and I never did reach the ending of that game yet.
