Where Magic Lives By balentine2 on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
I love Disney. I was finally able to take my children for their first trip to Walt Disney World in June of 2006. I wanted a special souvineer to remember the trip. I found this snowglobe/music box and fell in love with it.
This snowglobe combines two of my favorite things about Disney World, Cinderellas castle and Tinkerbell. It contains a wonderful recreation of the castle as the focal point. It has a small picture of Tinkerbell and fireworks painted on the back of the globe. When you look into the front of the globe it enlarges the picture so it looks like Tinkerbell is sprinkling fireworks over the castle.
There is a music box in the base that plays A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes. This is one of my favorite Disney songs. It has a windup on the bottom and plays the entire song.
This snowglobe is approximately 6 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter. It has a base painted to look like wood with gold trim. There is a plate on the front that reads Walt Disney World-1971-Where Magic Lives. Wen you turn it upside down, instead of snow it rains glitter down on the castle.
Whenever I miss Walt Disney Worl, I wind up my snowglobe and am taken back to our trip.

As a child on my very first trip to Disneyland, my father bought me a very similar snow globe. I kept it for years as a memory of that rare time we shared together. Thank you for sharing this with us. The snow globe is really lovely.
Oh my, that's one pretty snowglobe. I love collecting snow globes. This will look great in my table top...
